3 TIPS: HOW TO PROPERLY CLEAN YOUR RUG

1) This trick may cost your man a couple of days of being clean shaven but its the beard or the rug, choose one and say farewell to the shadow. For tough stains like a warming glass of 54′ Merlot, shaving cream will do a better job than most. Its acidic content acts on the rug shag or brussels in the same manor it would soften a mans beard before a shave in order to get the hair (stains) out as easy as possible.

2) Number two on the tip list is a stain most of us rug owners despise, pet stains. The most helpful home-cleaning remedy for pet stains that i have seen work wonders are just a few ingredients youd most likely have in your pantry.

  1. BAKING SODA
  2. VINEGAR
  3. DISH SOAP
  4. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

#1 rule is that you always try to soak as much of the pet stain out of the rug before it soaks and becomes one with the rug. Next you take a    1 half cup of water mixed with 1 half cup of vinegar and you pour this solution on top of the stain. After doing so we will soak up the solution now (which is also lifting out more and more of the stain) with paper towels or anything absorbant. Lay a bit of baking soda over the pet stained areas. Then using a mix of 1 half cup of hydrogen persoxide & 1 tablespoon of dish soap, pour over the areas of rug with baking soda. Gently brush affected areas and allow to dry. After drying watch the vaccum suck up all the turmoil our beloved pets have put us through.

3) Last tip i have for all you wonderful rug owners out there keeping cleaners like us happy is that if theres ever a stain or job you cant take up on your own…give the professionals a call, well take a stain off your rug and put a smile on your mug.
